With most of my father’s family being pastors, I quite literally grew up in the church. Many of my earliest memories were shaped within its walls. From a young age, I carried a deep, burning desire to make the world a better place. As a child, I expressed that longing through active involvement in my father’s church — whether singing, dancing, preaching, or joining outreach efforts. But as time passed, I began to yearn for something more — answers the church could not quite give me.
How does this all fit together?
After more than ten years of study and training in the Mystery School, I’d love to share what I’ve experienced firsthand.
“Created in the Image of God”
One of the very first scriptures in the Bible tells us that we are “created in the image of God.” This concept forms a golden thread woven through many of the world’s religions and spiritual teachings. The Mystery School tradition is built upon the foundation: “Know Thyself.”
As Socrates said: “Know thyself, and thou shalt know the Universe.”
Everything you study, do, and experience in the mystery tradition is designed to uncovering the real you (the “True Self”)— the divine essence within that reflects God. This isn’t merely a mental exercise. It’s about experiencing yourself as a divine being and beginning to embody this aspect of yourself in your daily life. It’s not only about worshipping the God outside of you (“Thee God”) but also about awakening and taking ownership of the God within.
“The Word Made Flesh”
I remember struggling with the concept of “the Word becoming flesh” — until I found the Mystery School. Here, knowledge isn’t just taught — you also receive the tools & energy to live it. You receive the teachings as well as the energy behind them. This is why teaching in this lineage is both incredibly demanding and profoundly rewarding: As we say: “You can only share what you have”.
Unlike in many fields, where someone can speak eloquently without living what they teach —If the energy isn’t alive in the teacher, it simply doesn’t work.
Certifying as a Guide was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I had to shed old patterns, fears, and limitations to truly live the teachings. But in doing so, I stepped into my power — and showed that it is possible for others to do the same.
And the best part? The Mystery School gives you practical tools to apply in your daily life. Tools that will help you take the Knowledge (“word”) and make it tangible in your life (“flesh”)!
Where is Jesus in All of This?
I’m often asked with a curious tone, “But where is Jesus in all of this?” My answer is usually along the lines of: “Oh my gosh — everywhere!”
The Mystery School holds Jesus the Christ in the highest regard — we acknowledge him as the “Master of Master of Light”. But we also acknowledge that he was not alone. Many other great beings throughout history came to earth to uplift humanity in different ways and at different times.
Jesus never asked us to worship him — he asked us to follow his example: “You will do the works I do… and even greater.”
Through Mystery School training, I’ve not only deepened my relationship with Jesus Christ — I’ve gained practical tools to walk the path he walked: to live miraculously, serve through love, and bring healing to others. It is a path with limitless potential — where the only ceiling is the one you place on yourself. A path deeply inspired by Jesus, who gave humanity far more than many truly realise.
Form Church to Temple
The Mystery School doesn’t take anything away from you. It will only enhance what you already do or believe. If church is your path — wonderful. The Mystery School will simply make you better in every aspect of your life (wherever and whatever that might be).
This ancient lineage is a powerful vehicle of remembrance. It has trained not only the heroes of the Bible but also countless leaders, visionaries, and changemakers throughout history.
Ultimately, it’s a path that brings you closer to yourself and closer to God — A path that transforms your life into a living temple. So, on the days you don’t make it to church, it’s okay. Because your life becomes an expression of good. Your life becomes the temple.
